Description: K22 Monastic is based on Monastic from Victorian Display Alphabets by Dan X. Solo. Monastic is also in Solo's The Solotype Catalog of 4,147 Display Typefaces. Thanks to Poukha (poukha*gmail*com) for the scan of Monastic, and to Claude for the images of numerals and some cyrillic characters. The alphabets are based on Poukha's scan. Since the Victorian Display Alphabets specimen sheet does not include numerals, some of the numerals were taken from the MacKellar, Smiths & Jordan 1892 specimen book and others from the image Cluade posted in alt.binaries.fonts. The few cyrillic characters in the font are also based on an image from Claude. The font contains alternate characters for lowercase/small caps a, m and r. K22 Monastic is based on Monastic from the Victorian Display Alphabets by
Dan X. Solo (Dover Publications), scanned and posted by Poukha in
alt.binaries.fonts on March 17, 2010.

The Monastic specimen sheet from Victorian Display Alphabets only contains
alphabets. Claude posted an image of the numerals and several cyrillic
characters in alt.binaries.fonts on March 19, 2010. Severak numerals were
also taken from the McKellar, Smiths & Jordan 1892 specimen book.

The font only contains characters that are on the Poukha scan and Claude's
images. I did not create any characters from scratch.
